Terms and conditions
The plain rules for using Wafflet. By downloading or using the app you agree to them.
Effective 7 October 2026
The licence
Wafflet is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement. Where the two disagree about the licence itself, Apple's agreement applies.
What Wafflet is
Wafflet is a tool for planning and tracking your own spending. It is not financial, investment, tax or debt advice, and it is not a bank, a payment service or an accounting system. The limits you set and the decisions you make with them are yours.
Your data
Your budget and expenses are stored on your device, as the privacy policy describes. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore data that is lost when a device is erased, replaced or the app is deleted. Keeping a backup of your device is your responsibility.
Exchange rates
Foreign amounts are converted with published daily reference rates from third party sources. These are not the rate your bank or card charged, and an amount logged offline is an estimate until the day's rate can be downloaded. Converted amounts are for planning only.
Wafflet Plus
Wafflet Plus is an optional subscription, sold for three months or for a year at the price shown in the app. There is no free trial. Quests, XP, levels, streaks and badges do not need Plus.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Plus stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, support Family Sharing where Apple offers it, and can be restored on your other devices with the same Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. If the price of a plan changes, Apple will tell you beforehand and, where the law requires it, ask for your agreement.
The features included in Plus may grow or change in later versions.
Fair use
Please do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or tamper with the app, or try to unlock paid features without buying them, except where the law gives you the right to.
Ownership
The Wafflet name, the app, its illustrations and this website belong to their developer. Everything you enter in the app remains yours.
No warranty
Wafflet is provided as it is. We work to keep the numbers right and the app reliable, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or always available, and you should check anything important against your own records.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions made using the app, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Wafflet Plus in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
Changes
These terms may be updated when the app changes. The effective date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.
